Survived By: He is survived by his wife Emily and their seven children: Jonathan, Elizabeth, Joshua, Joel, Jeffrey and Jacob West, Joy West Jamison and her husband Shane, and grandchildren Camille and Archer Jamison. He is also survived by his brother John E. West and his wife Suzanne, sister Kim West and her husband Jim, as well as several other relatives and friends.

Rev. George Randall (Randy) West graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1971 and received a Bachelor of General Studies from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and a Master of Biblical Studies from Regent University. While studying at Regent, Randy received the Outstanding Theology Student Award. On August 21, 1976, he married Emily Ash West; they were married 35 years. Randy was a well-known Bible teacher in the area. In his earlier years, he worked for Westminster Presbyterian Church. He also served on staff at Christian Center Church from the late 1970’s to the early 1980’s. In addition, Randy was the pastor of Hope Community Church in the early 1990’s and continued to minister at many churches, home groups and community groups for over 35 years.
