Tracy McLemore

A celebration of life for Tracy Leon McLemore will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Sibley United Methodist Church in Sibley, Louisiana with Pastor Dustin Warren officiating. A ceremony with military honors will follow the service next door to the church at Lane Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning. 

Tracy “Buster” Leon McLemore, was born December 23rd, 1953 and died October 3rd, 2019 at the age of 65 at his home in Sibley, Louisiana. 

Tracy was born in Minden, Louisiana to Tracy A. McLemore and Alys Tharpe McLemore. He graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in 1971. Tracy served in the United States Navy from 1971-1975. He served on the destroyer, U.S.S. Rich as a machinist’s mate second class. In 1975 he began working for his father at Associated Printing Professionals, Inc. He later became owner/operator with his sister, Connie Brown. Tracy was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren and many others knew him as “Mamps”. 

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Tracy Albert McLemore and his mother, Alys Tharpe McLemore. 

He is survived by his sister; Connie Brown and her husband, Ronnie of Bossier City, and his children; son, Peyton McLemore and wife April of Shreveport, daughters; Molly McLemore and Leah McLemore both of Sibley, niece; Renee Brown Ponder of Bossier City, grandchildren; Spencer Tracy Spell, Abbigail Alysse McLemore, Sammi Marie McLemore, and Ezra Aaron McLemore, and very special friends; Marc Capello and David Morgan.
