Tina Borden

After a courageous battle with breast cancer, Tina went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. A private graveside service was held on Saturday, January 10th, with The Reverend Paul Martin of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating.Tina was born on September 13, 1952. She was a life long resident of Shreveport and member of St. Paul's Episcopal church. Tina was a graduate of Byrd High School and Louisiana Tech University. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Borden, Jr. and brother, Wallace Borden. Tina is survived by her brothers Howard Borden and wife Lynn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Silas Borden and wife Nancy of Katy, Texas, and sister Lynda Borden Taylor and husband David of Shreveport, Louisiana. Tina is also survived by her aunt Merle Cox of Latta, South Carolina and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Tina had a caring and humble heart. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. Tina enjoyed the Shreveport Symphony, movies, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. The Family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or the charity of your choice .Many thanks to Kim Guillot R.N. of Willis Knighton Wound Care for the special care she gave Tina.
